Speaker 1:All right, today we're talking about records and I'm not just talking about Just getting someone's project. Um, you know, I'm talking about actually vinyl, vinyl records and I want to encourage everyone to to invest in them because the sound and the quality of it it's just amazing. Um, I'm not saying you're gonna, you're gonna transcribe from it because you know, I guess one is a record, so Be hard to do. So I would say, you know, get both, get, get, get, um, uh, a record that you, that you Um want to transcribe from, just buy it, buy off iTunes or whatever, but also go and get the record itself, the vinyl, because the quality of that sound is just unmatched. And you know, digital is great, but but there's nothing like that vinyl sound. Recently, my recently, my wife and I have been going, we went through our record collection, you know, and it's not Uh, huge, huge, but we got some great records. That's some great stuff there. Um, some great cats, you know, because we got miles, we got, uh, cold train, we, we have, uh, we have a lot, of a lot of Aretha Franklin, um, we have herby Hancock, we have, uh, frank Sinatra, we got some great cats, man, um, and our record collection and the sound is just incredible.
Speaker 1:Also, for my producers, there is a vinyl plugin. There are vinyl plugins, number one. I know that, um, uh, uh, uh, the name of the company that I use, their plugins, that I use isotope there is, um, they have a vinyl plugin. They have other other companies that have, uh, vinyl plugins. I would encourage you to invest in that plugin me, just because of the sound that you get, the saturation, the warmth that you get, depending on the setting. Uh, just just a little tip. You know, if you want to have that vinyl sound, there are plugins out there for you.
Speaker 1:But I love to pop in a record man, because you really get to Um hear how big the sound is, how amazing it is, and for me it just calls me to appreciate the music even more, because the sound of a record is, you know, just like a mix, a mix that can make a break, a song, um, and so to hear that sound, to hear it in, in that way, it just allows me to um experience it at an at another level and to appreciate it. We appreciate it even more and so many things that pop up by, you know, listening to something you know on a record. So, just, you know, pick your favorite artists, whoever they may be, and you can start there. Go and find out, go and find their records. I'll give you one of our, our show that me and my wife listened to. She's still a relatively new artist, amara Joy, and we haven't got the record yet, but we, of course I have her music, but we, you know, we were searching for her stuff. I know we found a record of hers in Target and we didn't get it the day we saw it. We should have got it.
Speaker 1:But you know, just, you know her sound and her beautiful voice, the musicians that play for her. We don't want to forget about them, you know, I know that sound is going to be great, but other things that I have, that I the other records that I have, it's just, you know, it's just such an experience and you know what it makes me think of. It makes me think of I used to watch the Bill Cosby show. I know Bill Cosby, blah, blah, blah, aside from the drama that he went through, you know I watched the Bill Cosby show and he used to play those records. Man Play all that jazz, all that great music, and it makes me think of that.
Speaker 1:So I encourage my musicians, my creatives or just music lovers build your record, build your record collection. It's you know. Find out what record stores are in your area and please go and check that stuff out, man, and purchase some great music, because great music should be heard in an amazing way. And obviously Vino is still. It's so powerful that people get records of artists of day. They still get their records on Vino. So Vino is not going anywhere.
Speaker 1:You know, it's such an amazing, awesome sound and it just makes you appreciate even more the great engineers and people out there who've mixed and mastered this stuff you know what I mean and people who actually create these records. You know it's to appreciate those people. Everyone has put work into creating this project, you know, and it will put you in a place to really appreciate it and listen to different genres on vinyl. You know I listen to all kinds of music. I listen to jazz, I listen to, you know, classical music we bought recently. We bought Jill Scott, we bought DeAngelo, we have a Six Sonic on vinyl. Man, we have some great music and it's such a big, warm, amazing sound, especially Six Sonic.
Speaker 1:The style the set, their style of that record is the 70s. You know it's the funk era and I believe from 70s, early 70s to late 80s to early 80s, I believe, and it's such a great sound. So, yeah, I want to encourage you guys to expand your horizon. Don't get stuck in the digital, you know space, but go and get you a record player. Go get you some records, man, and go listen to how this stuff sounds. You know, and I guarantee you you will not regret doing this.
Speaker 1:Take some time away from TV and your devices, you know, and, if possible, take some time to listen to these records with your families, your loved ones. Man, you will not regret it. To my creatives, you will appreciate this More. Listen to those solos, those jazz solos, listen to the great singing, listen to all this stuff, man, you will not go wrong. All right, I appreciate you for tuning in family.
Speaker 1:All right, before we go, do me a favor and go on over and look at my channel a YouTube channel, rather, the Tony King experience like a subscribe. Hit that bell, check out that amazing content, check out my business where it keeps production, my class too okay for musicianship mastery.
