All right, all right, welcome back everyone to another great episode. Before I get into my subject, which is environment, today I want to be taught. I want to first mention some things. Be sure to check out my channel, the Tony King experience. I'm Tony King. I'm Tony King. I'm Tony King. I'm Tony King. The Tony King experience on youtube. We got some great things there, great tools there, and Check out all the links in the description. Speaker 1:There are services there. So many things to go check out. So please go check those things out. Family, all right, so let's jump in here. Um, we're today. We're talking about environment. We're talking about environment now.
Speaker 1:For me as a creative and more specifically, as a musician, vocalist, pianist um, I need to have a certain environment to be able to create, and you know I need to. Uh, my space needs to be organized, um, I can't have a lot of clutter, a lot of things all over the place. I need to have some type of structure and, um, some organization to what I am doing, um and to my environment. And this is so important because it allows me to To create. It's such at such a high level, and it allows the space for me to to to do my thing, effort, effortlessly. And so I want to, I want to encourage you guys out there to be able to Really set up your environment where it's a room, whether it's in the basement, whatever, wherever it is, um, I want you to make sure that you create an environment that you're comfortable in, you know, and that you are able to create and write your music, or whether it can be outside of music, whether you're writing a book, you're doing your painting, whatever you're creating, whatever you're creating, you know, make sure you're creating a process, um is is Set up in such a way where you can just step right in and get straight to work.
Speaker 1:So for me, you know, in my space I, of course, I have my, my desk. I have my, my um Music production. I have a desk from all my you know equipment, stuff like that. I have a place. I have books down here, um, in the basement, um, I have my lights for when I'm shooting, my youtube stuff I have, you know, I have my guitars out, because who's the acoustic guitar and bass guitar? Um, I have my uh art work up.
Speaker 1:You know people who inspire me. You know I have all these amazing things, that which my wife, you know, puts together, forming wishy, comes up with a plan, and we put this thing together. But, uh, all these things that I have set up down here puts me in a certain headspace and and puts me in a in a certain certain energy, and the room has a certain energy to it. Um, that allows me to come down, whether I'm writing some music, whether, um, I'm writing a song, working on a project which is right now. I'm working on my, my new project, project that's going to be coming out kingdom radio In december uh of this year, 2023, december 23rd it's going to be dropping, and so I come down here and you know I uh Start, you know I write some music, or if I'm recording them in the recording phase. You know, I start recording my stuff and so, um, and like I said, I already said earlier that I this is where I shoot my my youtube videos on my social media Uh, videos my shorts and things of that nature, and so it is. It is set up for the right Environment and, and maybe some people work better in clutter I'm not one of those people.
Speaker 1:I have to have some level of order and um, so I'm I'm going to challenge you guys to to think about. You know, how do you want your space to be set up, even if it's a small space, it doesn't have to be A big space, it can be a small space, it can just be your room, it can just be a space in the basement or if you're in apartment, you know, it has some, some space there when you can go and and pick up your instrument, whatever you're doing, um, you can create at the highest level and you know, uh, I don't think we, we and think I don't think we talk enough about this. You know it's also helps with clearing your mind. You know saying have your mind, clear your mind, as I had to focus on too many things. Stuff is in the way. You don't have to focus on all that. It really gives you a great space to just jump straight in and make things happen.
Speaker 1:And, um, this is how it's been for me for years. You know, environment has always been the thing for me. It's always. You know, I always had to have a neat space, um, have my, my production stuff set up. You know, I may have my lights, have my, you know, all my stuff that I that I need in place or, you know, um, or I can just grab it. You know, it's not too far and it's grabbing and go, you know, and so this is super important and and I encourage you guys, you know also, you know, dive into some artwork. It's very important to have some artwork up.
Speaker 1:I have um Beethoven, at least the version that, the version that we know. Um, you know, I've heard of that. Of course, I don't have proof that he possibly was a person of color, but you know we see the white version. But anyway, um Beethoven, I have composers, great composers or poster that I have. I have Quincy Jones. I have Oscar Peterson. I have Miles Davis. I have different people up that inspire me, even people outside of that realm. I have Bill Gates. I have Warren Buffett. You know I have different people here that you know put me in a place to get creative, to be inspired, to be encouraged, and so don't be afraid of that.
Speaker 1:Make sure your environment, that space, even smells good because it lifts your spirit, puts you in a great mood, it allows you to be optimistic. There's all these amazing things for you, and so you know it's very important. This is even before we get to the practicing and writing music, or painting or writing a play or whatever it is that you're doing, or writing your book. This is where we can get to that. Your environment needs to be dialed in, you know, and don't think that you have to spend millions of dollars to do that. You do not have to spend a bunch of money. You can have a nice small budget and just make sure your furniture is arranged a certain way, make sure you have certain things in certain places, Make sure it's functional, you can move around. Make sure your equipment is where it needs to be, you can access it easily. All these things are super, super important for your creative environment.
Speaker 1:Now you might be thinking, might be thinking what does that have to do with music? Everything it has to do with music, it has to do with creativity, it has to do with all these things. Even when God was creating the heavens and the earth, there was an order to it. The first thing you say it was let there be what Light, all right. So there was an order to him creating the heavens and the earth. And so if God has an order, then we definitely need to have order in our environments to be able to create, at the highest level, all these things. They do things for your mood, they do things for your mindset, your energy right and put you in a place again to be optimistic, to know that great things are ahead. And so my challenge for you is to get into a great place where you can change your environment, elevate your environment, all right, so that you can be the best you can be All right. Thanks so much, family.
